We'll explore what our cunning canine companions can do and learn how they do it... they really are remarkable creatures, and we're only just learning the full extent of what they can do!

BREEDS

Discover the origin and purpose of breeds, the truth behind pedigrees, and the amazing range of breeds today.

We'll look at the different standard groups and what they mean, and learn about a few examples of each.

If you're thinking about getting a dog, this section will help you make a better choice by understanding their origins and 'programmed' behaviours.

TRAINING

Let's look at some training tips and techniques, and understand how to work WITH our friends cooperatively through positive reinforcement – everybody will be happier in the end!

This section will be very useful if you're thinking of getting a dog or have recently welcomed one home... or even if you've been a puppy parent for some years – old dogs really can learn new tricks... and that includes you! :-)

NUTRITION

The foundations for happy hounds are rest, play and nutrition. Which is no different from humans, really!

In this section we'll look at some tips from vets and doggy experts, and consider some of the common questions around dog food... from the daily diet to the treats and snacks that make them smile!
